George Nall

Vice President, Sustainability and Renewable Origination


Driven by a desire to improve our world, George transitioned into the renewable energy sector in 2008 from a career in financial services. He’s held various roles in this capacity including energy trading with JJR Power and project development and power origination with Gamesa Energy. He arrived at Amerex in 2013 and launched the renewable practice. Since his arrival, George has eclipsed 750 million MWhs in renewable transactions. A key focus of his is working with retail customers as they pursue their sustainability goals through the purchase of renewable energy. His expertise includes structuring transactions, price discovery and risk analysis.

He works with all functional groups at Amerex – Retail, Power, Gas and the Environmental desks in order to maintain a strong understanding of renewable prices and market changes that affect them. His current customers include large tech firms, renewable project owners and private equity funds among others.

George graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an active duty officer in the US Army. Prior to entering the renewable energy space, he worked for Merrill Lynch and E*Trade as a broker, registered advisor and analyst.

George works remotely in Minneapolis, MN. He’s married and a father of four children whom are all still at home. He spends his off-time coaching, cheering for and transporting his children in support of their many endeavors.
